SMART Unlimited Call and Text

SMART launches the new SMARTalk UNLI CALL & TEXT, where you can enjoy unlimited calling and SMS texting for as long as 2 days.

The cost is only P50, and all you need to do is text UNLI50 to 6406

This is available to SMART Buddy subscribers only, and applys to calls and text to SMART, TNT, or Red Mobile only. You'll also need to maintain a P1.00 balance.

If you want SMARTALK UNLI CALL & TEXT 100 valid for 4 days (cost is P100), simply text UNLI100 to 6406

Please note that the Unli Call & Text 50 promo is valid only until November 30, 2011 (per DTI-NCR Permit No. 5143, Series of 2011), while the Unli Call & Text 100 promo is valid only until August 31, 2011 (per DTI-NCR Permit No. 4588, Series of 2011).

Some of my friends prefer the more affordable (P30) Unli Text promo, because they're more into SMS texting rather than making voice calls. Yes, they probably text a LOT each day.

There are, however, people who prefer to speak with others because their thumbs can't text out long messages that quickly. For such folks, the Unli Call promo will be worth it.

Is It Really Worth It?

Let's assume a voice call costs around P7.00 per minute. If you go for the 2-day promo (Unli Call & Text 50), all you need to do is rack up 8 minutes of voice calls in two days (or 4 minutes per day), and you've made full use of your P50.

Typically, when you're just coordinating or giving out quick orders using your cell phone here in the Philippines, you'll probably just use around 60 seconds.

So if you foresee that you will make at least 4 voice calls a day, then go for the SMARTalk Unli Call & Text promo. :-)
