Sun Cellular Postpaid Subscriptions

I've been looking at affordable cell phone subscription plans in the Philippines.

Here's what I learned from Sun Cellular...

Plan 350 comes with a free cell phone (Nokia 5000, Nokia 1680c, Nokia 2330c, Samsung E250i, Nokia 2680, Nokia 2700c). Depending on the model, you will need to agree to a lock-in period or subscription contract of 24 months. In some cases, it will be 30 months.

Plan 600 allows you choose any of the following cell phones: Samsung M3510, Nokia 5130Xm, Samsung C5212 (30-month contract).

The Group Plans are quite interesting because with just one bill, you can have two or three cell phones. It's great for business groups, family members, or friends.

Group Plan 999 - Get three lines for the low price of P999. Subscribe once and get three lines immediately, plus you can get discounts on your Unlimited Service Fee. This plan also gives you 750 free SMS per month for i-text. Among the cell phones you can choose bundled with this plan are: Nokia 2700c (comes with 30-month contract), Samsung E250i, Nokia 2330c.

I'm more inclined to go for the Nokia 2700c because its talktime can reach up to 6 hours (assuming what I read in various webpages is true).

Group Plan 899 - Get two lines for the low price of P899. Subscribe once and get two lines immediately. This comes with 600 free Sms per month for i-text. For Line 1, you can choose a Nokia 5000 or Nokia 2700c. Other units available are the Nokia 2680, Nokia 2330c, Nokia 2630, Samsung C450, Samsung M600, and the Nokia 1680c. The usual contract is good for 30 months.

For Line 2 you can choose either the Samsung M3510 or the Samsung E250i. The Samsung E590 is also available.

Group Plan 699 - Get three lines for the low price of P699. Subscribe once and get three lines immediately, plus you can get discounts on your Unlimited Service Fee (when enrolled in Daylite Call and Text Unlimited). Plus, you get 300 free SMS per month for i-text.

Among the cell phones you can choose to go with this plan are: LG KP105, Nokia 1202, Nokia 1208. These cell phones are also available for the Sun EasyPhone program.

Fixed Load Plans - Your Fixed Load Plan will automatically be sent p250, P350, or P600 load every month, charged to your Postpaid Bill.
