From P&G to Problogging

What does it take for someone to move away from the corporate world and into the realm of problogging?

Anton Diaz had spent 13 years working in P&G. His last position at Procter and Gamble was Philippines IT Country Leader. In June 2008, he transitioned to the world of online publishing and internet marketing on a full-time basis.

There was the proverbial fork in the road during the Summer of 2008, and Anton chose to pursue his passion.

What does this imply to Filipino bloggers and aspiring probloggers?

Well, if someone can afford to leave a high position in the corporate world (plus the benefits and comforts it provides) for a world of blogging, photography, and online marketing, then why can't you do the same, right?

Be prepared, though, for a lot of writing (no, you need not be like Hemingway), creativity, and networking. You'll need to enjoy going out and meeting lots of people and sharing those experiences with the world through your blog. It will also help a lot if you help others expand their life experiences, which also allows them to further enrich the content in their web sites.

In other words, live a life worth living and help others do the same. Then write about it, and help others also write about their lives.

Does this guarantee problogging success? Well, there are no guarantees in life. But wouldn't you want to at least give it a try, and have fun in the process?

We wish Anton health, wealth, and success!
