All Guitar

There's something about Philippine culture which draws a lot of Filipinos to the guitar.

Perhaps there's something romantic about the strummed music that 300 years of Spanish rule has done to our psyche, or images of young men serenading their sweethearts on a moonlit night with nothing but their voices and a guitar.

(Yup, making harana with a piano isn't exactly that appealing, is it?)

And that's probably why I'm trying to learn the guitar again. Classical guitar, with wide frets and painful extensions, sore fingers, and beautiful kundimans. It can get quite frustrating at times.

So it helps to draw inspiration from others. Thanks to Erwin Oliva, we can now enjoy All Guitar.
