IBM and OpenOfficeIt's great to hear that IBM is joining the OpenOffice community. In IBM joins the OpenOffice.org community to develop and promote OpenOffice.org technology, you'll read that "IBM will be making initial code contributions that it has been developing as part of its Lotus Notes product, including accessibility enhancements, and will be making ongoing contributions to the feature richness and code quality of OpenOffice.org." I wonder what future enhancements in OO we'll get to see in the coming months. I remember using Lotus Notes many years ago, and my team was happy to collaborate using Notes. Of course, there were those who said that developing new applications would require a dedicated team of LN experts, and that the costs would be prohibitive. With this recent development, however, we could be looking at a more "affordable" Lotus Notes experience in the future. Anyway, let's see how things turn out in the coming days.
