Megavideo, Megabilis
Decided to give Megavideo.com a try to find out how it compares to YouTube.
It took about 12 minutes to upload a 13.89MB .avi file, but in just two minutes after the upload was completed, the video was already viewable.
In YouTube, you may have to wait around 7 to 10 minutes before the fully uploaded video is viewable. Perhaps we need to consider how many uploads are being sent to YouTube, and how many videos are being converted to the proper format.
As Megavideo becomes more popular, I wouldn't be surprised if the conversion time lengthens. Anyway, let's see how things develop in the coming weeks.
