Uploading Camtasia To YouTube

Are you wondering which Camtasia video format to upload to YouTube?

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

Camtasia allows you to save videos in various formats: AVI, FLV, and even WMV, among others.

Here's the format to use: WMV, 320 x 240 resolution

If you use AVI, the file will be rather large and you'll end up waiting for a long time for the upload to complete. Besides, YouTube will scale down your video to a smaller size.

Personally, I upload WMV with a resolution of 640 x 480. I'd rather leave it to YouTube to downscale it, instead of using Camtasia to reduce a 640 video down to 320. Since most screencasts or screen tutorial videos I produce run less than 7 minutes, uploading a "large" 640 vid is not that bothersome.

UPDATE: In this Gawad Kalinga - Metrobank video, Windows Movie Maker was used to create a 320 x 240 WMV (340 kbps), which was uploaded to YouTube. The quality isn't that bad, and I didn't have to wait ages for the upload to complete:
