PLDT SMART Ask-For-Load

What happens if your pre-paid cell phone subscription runs out of load credits? If you're a SMART subscriber, then simply Ask-For-Load (for free).

Simply dial *808 followed by the 11-digit cell phone number of your friend, and press the call button. For example, if your friend's mobile number is 0919 123 4567 then just call *80809191234567

Your friend will see this message in his or her cell phone (sms text): "0919xxxxxxx [number of requesting party] is requesting you to pass on P10."

Once your friend replies with YES via sms text, you will then get a load credit of P10. While making the request is free, you can only make 3 requests per day.

Perhaps this is SMART's way of convincing friends to use the SMART network, since it will be easier to help other members of the barkada when they're in a bind.
