The Slow Internet

Internet connectivity remains slow, as a result of the earthquake-damaged submarine cables.

Even PLDT myDSL subscribers are experiencing slow connections to Google services such as GMail. MyDestiny cable internet subscribers are unable to visit sites such as YouTube, as this temporary site banning move is meant to free up more bandwidth.

It takes forever for me to check my mail at either GMail or Yahoo, so if you're trying to reach me, you can always try leaving a comment at the bottom of the About ManuelViloria.com page.

If you're wondering why some people do not respond to your emails, it's probably due to their inability to even log into their email accounts. Hopefully, this problem will be fixed by late January 2007.

UPDATE: Connecting to GMail via an I-Manila dial-up account is much faster than via a PLDT myDSL broadband account. Go figure.
