Supertyphoon Reming Update

Supertyphoon Reming veered south of Manila, sparing us from a dangerous direct hit.

We spent yesterday evening preparing for the typhoon described as "stronger than Milenyo" by cutting the branches broken by Milenyo.

Motionbox Video: Traffic Geyser

I'm also trying out another online video service called Motionbox. Replaying the video made my Firefox crash, though.

In the meantime, it's a dry 10:30am here in Manila, although the wind gets occasionally gusty. To all our friends and relatives living far away, we're all right.

Here are some tips when preparing for a typhoon:

1. Trim tree branches.
2. Stock on some batteries, flashlight, candles, and water.
3. Charge your cell phones.
4. Set aside a battery-powered AM radio.
5. Stock on some water.

In the meantime, let's pray for those badly hit by Reming (Durian).
