Mobile Credit Card Swiping

So you have pizza delivered but don't have cash to pay for it? Mobile credit card swiping is spreading here in the Philippines.

Shakey's Pizza is working woth PLDT's Corporate Business Group and they have come up with "PLDT SWUP."

PLDT SWUP stands for "Shops, Work Unplugged" which allows merchants to wirelessly accept credit card and debit card payments anywhere and anywhen, over a secure virtual private network (VPN).

I've seen this before with MedExpress (they deliver medicines to your home... within 4 hours from the time you placed the order), but this is the first time I've seen mobile wireless credit card swiping in the world of fastfood delivery.

Anyway, if you're in the mood for a Shakey's Pizza, just dial 77777. (What's with the five repeating digits? Greenwich Pizza's delivery number is 55555.)
