PLDT myDSL Speed Upgrade

Been getting intermittent broadband disconnections starting yesterday until early this morning.

Usually, when a stable PLDT myDSL connection suddenly goes flaky, that means a speed upgrade is in the works. To find out how fast your internet connection is, try the Speakeasy.net Speedtest where you have a choice of six servers.

These servers are located in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, New York City, and Washington DC.

Months ago, I got a download speed of around 240 kbps (30 KB/sec). Today, using the SF server, the download speed is 580 kbps (72.5 KB/sec transfer rate).

So yes, it looks like PLDT has upgraded the speed of its myDSL packages.
