Math Teacher on YouTube

There's a 62 year-old math teacher on YouTube.

And he's sharing some video clips of over a hundred math problems. No wonder his YouTube nickname is mathproblems.

One of his vids explains the problem, and then requests the viewer to call a phone number for the free solution. I wonder, though, why he didn't just present the solution in his video. Perhaps he's running some kind of tracking test?

Or maybe it's a way of encouraging interaction via the comments section of his YouTube page? Anyway, here's a sample "inversely and directly proportional functions explained" video:

His videos are not over-produced, and I hope they serve to inspire other teachers to just come out with their own instructional videos. These may be student-oriented, or may even be teacher-oriented. As more educators go online and discover YouTube, this just may be a cost-effective way of training other teachers.
