Belltel iCable Broadband Internet

Belltel iCable is an unlimited, always-on broadband internet access service that comes with cable TV service.

They have an on-going promo right now and are waiving the following fees:

Installation fee - P2,000
Cable modem rental (P400/month)

Plus, you get two months free when you advance ten months, or one month free when you pay five months advance subscription.

You can get a subscription for as low as P1,535 (VAT excluded).

I don't know how fast the broadband internet connection is, but I'm guessing the committed speed is 128kbps based on the 2004 entry Belltel iCable by Migs Paraz.

I'll go check them out, especially since PLDT's myDSL has been quite slow these past couple of days (24kbps download, 158kbps upload).

(Update: Here are July 2006 comments about iCable. Hmmm... not that encouraging. Should we try Meridian Telekoms?)
