Back-Up Your GMail NowDo you use GMail and feel safe thinking that Google will keep your data safe? You might want to consider using Outlook to back-up your GMail. (Link via GeekNewsCentral) Afterall, what can you expect from a free service? Now that's some wake-up call. Whether you trust Google or not, if you've come to rely on various services to store your data, you still need to create back-ups. In the case of email, it would be safer for you to get hold of your own domain name so that if ever you need to switch to another email provider, you won't have to tell your email correspondents that you've changed your email address. If you have your own domain name (e.g., Viloria.com), simply point your email address to your new email box (e.g. GMail, Yahoo, Hotmail) and you'll continue receiving your email. If you don't want to sweat through the horrifying experience of "data recovery", make regular back-ups today. Previous Entry Secondthoughts Index Next Entry
