Educators and Multimedia PresentationsIf you're an educator or trainor interested in multimedia presentations, consider using Camtasia. Camtasia allows you to record screen activity, so that others may view it no matter where they are, and whenever they wish to view it. You can record a PowerPoint presentation (complete with your voice), and put in on the web. You can also insert a video of you speaking during the presentation into the screencast or online video tutorial. If you go this route, it might be better to offer it as a downloadable file as I wrote earlier. Here's an example of a downloadable WMV video file of a Powerpoint presentation (which contains a video of the speaker): El Fili Chapter 39. (Here's the Streaming video version of El Fili 39 at YouTube) For screencasts which contain audio but no video, try this. I hope this helps give additional ideas to educators and trainors in the multimedia, e-learning or distance training field. Previous Entry Secondthoughts Index Next Entry
