Blogs and Comment Spam

Looks like comment spam is becoming a problem again for popular blogs.

The Sassy Lawyer has been subjected to comment spam attacks for the past couple of weeks. She's now trying to install some WordPress plugins designed to deal with this problem. (SK2?)

On the other hand, registration is now required over at Yugatech. Looks like he's been having some comment spam issues over the past couple of weeks, too. He uses Spam Karma, but I'm guessing the comment spammers have recently figured out how to slip through SK2.

Yes, you can switch on Comment Moderation, but when you're faced with hundreds of spam comments to delete, it makes you twitch and click on the "Switch Comments Off" button. Anyway, let's see how this battle between spam and blog conversation shapes up.
