Goodnight, Lou Rawls

Lou Rawls passed away yesterday because of lung cancer.

He was 72.

I remember him singing "Pure Imagination" in the Willie Wonka movie. And whenever I hear him sing "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" I remember summer days riding in the Ford Cortina of my Tito Ely. And how can I forget learning how to dance the swing while he croons "I Love You Baby" in the background?

Some singers stay with you forever. Especially if they were part of your childhood.

You'll never find another Lou Rawls.
