To celebrate the 2006 Japanese-Philippine Friendship Year, the Japan Foundation Manila and the Philippine Education Theater Association (PETA) now bring you a one-of-a-kind show called ?TAIKO! TAMBOL!?, featuring the Yamato, the widely-acclaimed drummers of Japan, on January 12, 2006 (Thursday), 7:30PM, at the newly-built PETA Theater Center in Quezon City.

Founded by Masa Ogawa in 1993, the Yamato drummers combine traditional Japanese instruments and musical formats with explosive modern rhythms and themes. The January 12 show at the 400-seater PETA Theater Center will be particularly spectacular, giving the audience an extreme close-up view of the Yamato?s performance.

Tickets are at P300 and P500. There's also a DRUMMING WORKSHOP with the YAMATO before the show, at an extra P200 fee per head (20 slots only).

For more details, contact the PETA Theater Center at 725-6244 or 0916-5568842 (look for Ms. Frances Billano).
