Eating: Before or After Exercising?

Should you eat before or after exercising? The answer may surprise you...

According to Ori Hofmekler (author of The Warrior Diet), you should eat AFTER exercising.

It's a common diet fallacy that "eating before exercising will provide your muscles with instant energy," according to Hofmekler.

(Comment: In the past, I would sometimes eat before exercising in the morning because of laziness. I would skip my exercise, eat breakfast quickly, and then discover that I still had time to workout before flying out of the house. That usually happened on "color-coding" days when I had to be on the road before 6:30AM)

Hofmekler says that eating before exercising can lead to "muscle wasting" and fat gain!

So, if you're wondering why you have too much abdominal fat even though you exercise, you just might be unwittingly sabotaging your morning efforts. And a simple change in when you eat can do wonders for your physique.

Hofmekler also provides insights on the myth of protein, low carb products, and how to gain muscle while losing fat in The Warrior Diet.
