Firefox Needs Security UpdateIf you're using Firefox 1.0.3 or are planning to switch to it from Internet Explorer, watch out for the Zero-Day Firefox Exploit. To be safe, you'll need to disable javascript. You'll also need to switch off the ability of web sites to automatically install software in your computer. True, the list of sites allowed to do that are Mozilla sites (by default), but it helps to be safe right? Details at: Zero-Day Firefox Exploit Sends Mozilla Scrambling (eWeek) Don't be surprised. As more people shift from Internet Explorer to Firefox, you can expect more of these security exploits to appear. This browser shift is mentioned in Seth Godin's The New Digital Divide. (In the Philippines, we still have the "old" digital divide because not everyone has access to a computer.)
