Back in Manila!

Returned to Manila from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, in time for Mother's Day. Spent some time chatting with my Dad about the internet and the web because of some articles he read in Newsweek (April 25?)

Will blogging or podcasting take off? I dunno. A lot of people I know don't like to write. Looks like more people prefer to speak.

But podcasting is "harder" to do than blogging: You record your voice and produce an mp3 file, upload that file onto your site, post a written entry that contains a link to the mp3 file.

Aaaargh! I hope people can simply call a number using their cellphones, and have their "podcast" blog automatically updated. They can also use their cellphone cameras to take photos, and then send those photos to their web site via MMS.

Calling Globe, SMART and Sun! People love to express themselves. But it has to be a simple as using the cellphone.

Hmmm... I wonder what they'll call it? Cellcasting?

Anyway, it's great to be back in the Philippines. Belated Happy Mother's Day!
