RSS To Email

Why the heck will people be interested in receiving RSS Feeds via email? Don't people use RSS to ease the pain of reading an inbox filled with spam? Well, there are some cases where you may need RSS to Email systems.

RSS feeds are godsends to those who visit lots of web sites, because visitors simply view a single web page and read the summary of hundreds of links that lead to all their favorite news sources on the web.

(Click on the "Add to My Yahoo!" button on the leftside of this page to see this in action)

That's the key phrase: news sources. News that hopefully changes every now and then.

What happens if a web site offers an RSS feed, but isn't updated often enough? Does that mean it doesn't deserve to offer an RSS feed?

Let's face it, folks. Not everyone can afford to write daily or even weekly. Not every web site has "fresh" content. There are sites that get updated quarterly, believe it or not.

If those sites offer an RSS feed that gets updated whenever, you don't need to add their feed to your RSS news aggregator. Simply subscribe to their RSS feed via email.
