Spyware and MozillaAs Mozilla products such as Firefox start to get more popular than Internet Explorer, you can expect people (like spyware creators) to notice. In Spyware takes aim at Mozilla browsers, we see that security experts are expecting shifts in the spyware wars that will bring this internet scourge to the turf of Firefox. Awhile ago, I was planning to install a program or extension in Firefox that will allow me to view the Google Pagerank or Alexa status of the site I was viewing. I clicked on a download link, and out popped this window warning me that the site was trying to automatically install a program. I chose not to allow the auto-installation. I'm not saying that program was definitely spyware. All I'm saying is it helps to be cautious. Happy and safe surfing, everyone!
