The nice thing about her office being in Malate, Manila is that she works near Intramuros and other historical places which you can easily access via day tours or walking tours.

Add to this the fact that there are many hotels and scenic places such as the boardwalk along Roxas Blvd, you can quickly come up with an interesting tour itinerary. And that's just Manila!

There are also lots of bars and cafes in Manila, particularly in the Malate area. These are places where interesting people meet. Some even have poetry readings, if you like to hang out with artists.
