Windows XP SP2 and Ebook Compilers

If you're planning to distribute EXE ebooks to people who install SP2 on their Windows XP computers, think twice. Your ebooks might not run on those PC's anymore.

It appears that SP2 tags as "suspect" any application or program that tries to pop-up a window. Even ebooks that use javascript get flagged as "suspicious".

So, if you're into electronic publishing, either distribute your files in PDF format or in EXE format (without javascript).
