Quezon City DayAdi didn't have classes today, and he seemed very pleased about it. Imagine, a fun day playing with his cousins. So I asked him what he knew about Quezon City Day. It's to honor Manuel L. Quezon. Who's he? He's the Father of our national language. Whoa... what else did your teachers tell you about him? I dunno... * * * Perhaps he was just too excited about playing with his cousins, so I added that Manuel L. Quezon was a President of the Philippines. I also told Adi that a direct descendant of MLQ even has a blog. Manuel L. Quezon III posted a link to his Philippine Daily Inquirer column. Today's piece is entitled Nationalism.
