The World According to GabThe World According to Gab is the electronic scrapbook or blog of Gabrielle, a future graphic artist, rocket scientist, broadway actor and magician. The site is maintained by her mom, whom I guess is Kapampangan just like my Ima. The malagu cu (Kapampangan for "I am pretty") reminded me of the few language lessons I learned at the lunch table in my paternal grandfather's house in Paco. Lolo would often ask his grandchildren during lunch: "Ninung malagu?" (who is pretty) Then he would ask: "Ninung masanting?" (who is handsome) Problem was, since "masanting" sounded (to me) feminine at that time, I would raise my hand when I heard the "malagu" question. My cousins would laugh a lot. That helped speed the language learning process. Anyway, go check out Gabrielle's blog. May it inspire you to dip your toes in the world of online publishing, and give you the online gift of gab.
