Cellphone Access Codes - Globe, SMART, Sun

Cellphone access codes are those prefixes that begin with 09. Here are the various access codes for Globe, SMART and Sun.

For Globe - 0915, 0916, 0917, 0926, 0927
For SMART - 0918, 0919, 0920 and 0921
For Sun - 0922

UPDATE [10/22/2009]: Other prefix cell phone codes for Sun Cellular are 0923, 0932, 0933

Globe and SMART are requesting for additional access codes as prefixes for their new subscriber identification modules, or SIM:

Globe - 0906, 0907
SMART - 0928, 0929

The NTC may grant Globe, Smart request for access codes. (Sorry, the referenced 2004 web article no longer exists)

I wonder how many inactive simcards are lying around some forgotten drawer space. Assuming each access code can handle a little under 10 million cellphone numbers, Globe could currently handle 50 million while SMART can use 40 milllion.

If Globe has around 9.5 million subscribers and SMART has 16 million, why get more access codes? Hmmm... Maybe they're going for Philippine cellphone market domination in a land of 84 million Filipinos?
