FPJ's El Filibusterismo Links?Poe charged with faking birth, citizenship papers (by Leila B. Salaverria) -- "They said FPJ was an illegitimate child to boot, because his father had been married to a Paulita Gomez when he wed Kelley. As such, according to the 1935 Constitution, the actor would have had to acquire the citizenship of his mother. In fact, the petitioners said, Gomez filed charges of concubinage and bigamy against the elder Poe."
(In Rizal's El Filibusterismo, Isagani's sweetheart was a certain Paulita Gomez, who eventually wed Juanito Pelaez.)
