The End Of All Things

Today is March 31, the end of the month. It got me thinking about the end of things.

The end of the war, the end of liberties, the end of happiness (and also sadness, just to be balanced), the end of hopes and dreams (what does that song say about your dreams fading, but you still being around?), the end of suffering...

Shouldn't write at the end of the month.

It's a good thing my friend Jing sent me this text message (just to give you an idea of what goes around here in SMS/text land): "Aftr d war d US wl dvide Iraq n2 3 parts: premium, regular n unleadd."

That's a quality of Pinoys -- the ability to find humor in the midst of suffering. I just hope that at the end of pain, one will not find that laughter will also come to an end.
