Baby Names MeaningsBaby names come from the strangest of places -- from the initials of the dad and mom, from the names of the child's paternal and maternal grandparents, from TV Guides, from names seen painted on the side of jeepneys. I asked my friend Larry what name he will give to his baby (due any day now), and he said he forgot. He added that there's an "L" and a "J" in the name, so his baby girl will probably be nicknamed Eljay, representing the first letters of the names of her excited parents. I wonder, is your future somehow shaped by what name you were given? If so, it might be prudent to carefully choose the name of your baby. You might have to consider the length of the name because it might not fit in some application form at the University of the Philippines, Ateneo, De La Salle, (name of your favorite University). You may also need to remember that your child will have to write his or her complete name as early as kindergarten! Anyway, here's a Baby Names Meanings Booklist. Happy Searching!
