I am now 42 years old and assuming that I live to the ripe, old age of 84 (it would be good to last that long), I can now consider myself middle-aged. Middle age is the time when your talks with your friends and relatives turn to blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and staying healthy. For women, that means going for all sorts of medical tests on a regular basis, and that includes going for your annual mammogram. [more]

Do you remember what you wanted to be when you grew up? Like practically all children, I think I wanted to be a doctor but never did I dream of going into credit review or analysis (which is what I do for a living now) or even wanting to be a writer (which is really what I enjoy doing now). [more]

Julian Carlo Miguel (Amiel) Alcantara, 10 years old, a Grade 4 Manobo student at the Ateneo de Manila University, passed away on February 24, 2009. He was a victim of a vehicular accident that occurred at a drop-off/pick up lane inside the Ateneo campus. [more]

March is upon us and when I think of March, I think of summer and school graduations. It has been 25 years since I left high school but Batch 84 of what was then known as Poveda Learning Centre will be hosting the homecoming in 2010, together with Batch 85, with 2010 being our school's (now known as St. Pedro Poveda College) 50th year.
